Snow, Spring Break, and “That Music”

The kids have Spring Break this week and it’s. . .  snowing.  Huh?!  Just when you thought things were getting a little weird – it gets weirder: snow in April . . . in Atlanta?
Well, it didn’t stick and it didn’t last long, but the kids looked up from the Wii just long enough to enjoy a little snow on their spring break.

Thanks for all your feedback on our “To Have a Live Event or Not” series.  It’s clear from your feedback that there are a lot of people looking to sort through all the noise on Short Sales and a live class is in order.

After listening to you, the current questions about Short Sales fall into three categories:

(1)  There is a lot of confusion about “what you can or cannot do” in states like California, Florida and others in light of recent legislation aimed to crack down on mortgage fraud and rescue scams.  I am certainly in favor of anything that cracks down on fraudsters and con-artists taking advantage of people.  Unfortunately, a lot of new laws all at once can make it a little confusing for good people trying to do the right thing.  So, you’ve asked for help to make sure you are doing things the right way.

(2) The second category of confusion surrounds the abundance of Short Sale home study courses, methods, programs, and overnight-guru’s etc. that have exploded in the last few months.  There is a lot of good stuff out there (and a lot of bad information as well) and you are looking to sort it all out in a classroom environment where you can talk to experts, ask questions, and figure out exactly how to make it work for you step-by-step.  Okay, I hear you.

So, we’re checking on hotels this week and confirming availability of successful students to make sure we can get them in the room for you and we’ll announce the date and place next week.  I’m also lining up some local broker and attorney friends and authorities so we can sort through and get the real answers on the latest laws and regulations.

Oh yeah, the third area of concern:  There is confusion about what I have been saying on the last couple of videos – apparently John’s “music” selection is a little bit – um distracting (now, I’m not going to ask what you think of when you hear that music.)  I’ve asked John to tone down the background music from now on.

Stay tuned and we’ll get the dates for the class out next week.  Meanwhile, enjoy your Spring Break and the snow!

    Hey Ben,

I saw you at Jeff Adams’ class a couple of weeks ago.

Enough with LA already! How about coming up to San Francisco? There are tons of short sale opportunities here, particularly high-end ones, and I would love not to have to shlep back down to SoCal to attend your class. Besides, it’s much nicer here than in LA…

    Thanks,

    Doug,
Well, any cry to avoid shlepping must be taken seriously . . .
and yes, there is a lot of opportunity in the San Fran area right now
(as a matter of fact, I’ll be there next week).
Jeff’s event was awesome wasn’t it!
    Good to see you.
I’ll be watching for your deal! Go get ‘em!
    Ben
